Manpower for Infrastructure Cooperative Development

In line with our objective to abide by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals which, among others, provide that governments and businesses must strive for the eradication of poverty and generation of decent work and economic growth, MPIF focused its efforts on improving human capital through employment, livelihood, and skills-training programs, which not only help in reducing joblessness but also empower each individual who benefits from our assistance.

Inspired by the initiatives of its portfolio companies like Maynilad, Manila North Tollways Corporation (MNTC) and Meralco on promoting entrepreneurship and employability, MPIF has recently begun initiating a new program within the framework of Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) under it's "Manpower for Infrastructure Cooperative Development Project for a similar undertaking

HIGHLIGHTS

Program Components

Program enhancements and future activities are guided by accomplishment and financial reports submitted twice a year by PBSP to MPIF.

CAPACITY BUILDING. Providing Strategic Planning or Business Planning,
Team Building and Leadership Training, Cooperative Management,
Financial Management and Organizational Assessment to the organized group.

VOLUNTEER COACHING SESSION. MPIC employees are given the venue to coach members in basic accounting, marketing or other business-related topics through PBSP's Business Advisory Program.

EMPLOYMENT. Helping generate employment by marketing the manpower services that the group can provide through referrals and endorsement to
MPIC's affiliates and subsidiaries.

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT. Providing loans or grants to acquire tools and equipment as well as additional capital.
